Sir David Beckham has scored a remarkable £38.5 million payout from his sports, fashion, and media business following the 2026 Men’s World Cup. His company, DRJB Holdings, which prominently features the Beckham brand, announced a staggering profit of nearly £50 million for 2025, marking a 46% increase from the previous year. Sales surged from £72.2 million to £84 million, and this jump was largely fueled by a series of lucrative advertising partnerships that were clinched in the lead-up to the tournament.
The likes of Bank of America, McDonald’s, Verizon, and PepsiCo’s Lay’s were among the major brands that collaborated with Beckham, ensuring his face was nearly ubiquitous during the World Cup. In the United States, it was nearly impossible for fans to catch a game without being greeted by Beckham’s image in commercials promoting Stella Artois, Home Depot, and Lay’s health supplements.
Following a successful fiscal year, DRJB Holdings paid its shareholders £38.9 million, followed by a special payout of £46.6 million after the financial year concluded. Corey Salter, the chief executive of Sir David’s entertainment division, remarked that the impressive performance underscored the strength of Beckham’s brand. “His name is a powerhouse,” he emphasized.
However, it’s worth noting that Beckham faced some backlash for his role as an ambassador for the 2022 Men’s Football World Cup in Qatar, a country where same-sex relationships are illegal. At the time, he defended his position by stating he had engaged with the LGBTQ community during the tournament, but the criticism lingered.
As Beckham continues to be a prominent face in the sports and entertainment industry, it raises the question: how will he navigate future partnerships and public sentiments? The World Cup has certainly put him back in the spotlight, but what’s next for this football icon?
