Eleven years after its original release, we’re getting more Geralt of Rivia! The buzz in the crowd during the Opening Night Live was electric. Doug Cockle, who voices Geralt, even stepped out of his Witcher persona to express his love for the character. “I love this character so much,” he said, and honestly, who can blame him? The new installment, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, is not just a remake; it’s a delicate reimagining. Jeff Adams from Crystal Dynamics shared that they are carefully balancing nostalgia with fresh elements. And let’s face it, Lara’s appeal goes beyond her athleticism. Michał Kuk, the Creative Director at Flying Wild Hog, emphasized that there’s just something about her that keeps players hooked, year after year. The booth for Legacy of Atlantis was simply stunning this year, fully immersing fans in the adventure!
In the midst of all this excitement, a unique event called Games Done Quick (GDQ) took place. Gamers raced against the clock to finish games as quickly as possible. It’s amazing how these events draw in hundreds of thousands of viewers online, with charity marathons raising impressive amounts for good causes. Ashley Farkas, the business director, shared that the energy during these sessions is just something else!
Last but definitely not least, we ventured into the eerie realm of Silent Hill. The franchise has typically been set in the US, but the latest game, Silent Hill Townfall, brings players to a fictional part of Scotland.
